New Feature: Outbound DKIM Signing

ICYMI, our MailGuard ninjas released a new ‘Outbound DKIM Signing’ feature in December to further enhance efforts to defend your customer’s inboxes.

‘DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM’ is used to authenticate an email that's being sent. It’s a standard email authentication methodology that adds a digital signature to outgoing messages so that receiving mail servers can verify that a message actually came from a sender and not someone spoofing them.

The new ‘Outbound DKIM Signing’ feature allows your clients to have MailGuard sign DKIM on their behalf and is now live and available in the console. We recommend that customers set up both SPF and DKM to improve the protection of any given domain(s) against spoofing. By using these anti-spoofing features, your customers will also improve email deliverability, by reducing the likelihood that legitimate outgoing emails are marked as spam by other email filtering solutions.

MailGuard customers and partners can enable the new feature by logging into the console and going to Configure>MailGuard>Domains.

From there, navigate to the ‘>’ icon and choose DKIM from the drop-down menu.

For further guidance, you can share this support article with your customers which provides a step-by-step guide, walking them through the process.
