If you’ve been a MailGuard partner for some time, you’ve probably grown accustomed to the same names and faces. Although we’ve been operating for 21 years, one of our biggest sources of pride is that many of our team members have been around for 10 or even 15 years. Unlike in bigger corporations where account managers and support teams come and go, through our long-standing staff members, we’re able to build long-lasting relationships with our partners and customers. And when new members join our team, these connections flow on.  

Over the past year, you’ve likely noticed some big changes in the Sales team, with two new faces and a new Team Leader. Each brings a different background, different experiences, a shared passion for all things cybersecurity, and most importantly, a dedication to providing exceptional service to partners and customers. Although you’ve probably already spoken to them individually, now that they’re all settled into MailGuard and their roles, we thought it was time for our partners to ‘Meet the Team’ as a whole.  

Without further ado, meet the MailGuard Sales team! 

Inderjot Walia
Senior Account Executive and Team Leader  

Although Inderjot began his journey with MailGuard in 2018, in the past year he stepped up into his role as Senior Account Executive and Team Leader for the Sales team. With more than 13 years of experience in the IT and cybersecurity industries, he brings a wealth of knowledge. In his role, Inderjot is here to assist MailGuard’s partners and customers in any way that he can – there’s no question too big or small, and if he doesn’t know immediately, he’ll always take the time to find an answer. He has a genuine interest in finding solutions for our partners and seeing them succeed and will do what it takes to help them.  

Inderjot passionately pursues ongoing education so that he can better help and educate others. To ensure that he’s best equipped to assist our partners and answer any questions, Inderjot keeps his finger on the pulse of emerging cybersecurity threats and solutions through constant research which he also shares on his LinkedIn. In an industry that is continually evolving, this is no small task, but he says it’s made easier by the fact that “there’s never a boring day in cybersecurity”. 

Inderjot is proud to have developed a team that he describes as approachable, switched-on, and innovative thinkers. Most importantly, he believes in creating a top-level experience for partners and customers, which flows through his team.

Brendan Ma
Account Executive

Brendan is our most recent recruit to the Sales team, having joined MailGuard in November 2022. He describes his role as a hybrid of account management and sales, where he acts as a first point of contact for old and new partners, and customers. As an Account Executive, Brendan works with customers and partners to gain a deep understanding of their business, their needs and pain points and is able to apply this knowledge when making recommendations or offering support.   

Although his background isn’t in cybersecurity, Brendan too is passionate about furthering his knowledge of the industry so that he can better serve our partners and stays up to date with news that he shares on his LinkedIn.  

Afia Lodi (Affy)
Sales Support Associate

Affy joined the MailGuard team in May 2022 after she completed her self-described “study spree”. With a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering and Information Systems, a Post Graduate Diploma in Finance, and a Master of Business in Information Systems, she’s a fountain of knowledge, which she applies when communicating with our partner community.  

In her role, Affy acts as a key point of contact for MailGuard partners. Her primary focus is to onboard new partners, support our existing partner community to keep your customers safe from cyber threats and assist with any training needs.  

Afia is passionate about cybersecurity and frequently shares industry updates and news stories on her LinkedIn to help educate others.
