Australians have more beef with spam emails than ever

 

The Age featured an interesting article today that highlighted the extent that Australians are exacerbated with spam. Spam email complaints to ACMA are up a whopping 622% this year:

Australians are becoming increasingly intolerant of unwanted spam, with complaints, queries and reports about unwanted online attention leaping by 622 per cent in the past year.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority yesterday reported people were increasingly aware of the steps they could take to report spam - including reporting to the authority - which had led to a record 226,816 complaints being made.
