MailGuard opens Sydney office
Local market surges ahead with demand for outsourced email security services
MailGuard, Australia's first and leading provider of outsourced email anti-virus, anti-spam, content filtering and email storage solutions for the SME market, has opened its Sydney office hot on the heels of announcing it had reached its 600th customer - the well known JB HI-FI retail outlets which focus on delivering a specialist range of Hi-Fi and recorded music at Australia's lowest prices.
The aim is to provide greater support in the region for Australian companies and to meet growing demand for the company's offering in NSW. Andrew Johnson, MailGuard's Director of Sales and Marketing, is currently heading up the Sydney office, looking to build up a strong Sydney team within six months.
"Today, MailGuard is filtering over 500,000 emails daily," said Johnson. "Companies across multiple industries are adopting MailGuard's services as a means to dramatically simplify management, reduce costs and protect against spam, viruses and unwanted emails in order to provide enhanced messaging capabilities."
By integrating into existing company messaging systems, MailGuard's technology catches more than 90 per cent of spam as it enters the network and blocks more than 95 per cent of viruses. By detecting spam, as soon as it is sent, the service alerts organisations to the problem and stops that message from reaching users in its customer and partner base.
Email is an increasingly mission-critical application for day-to-day business activity, with security management of companies' incoming and outgoing email rapidly becoming a major concern to organisations. The MailGuard solution proves to be a cost saving to organisations. MailGuard's service is priced from as low as ……….per user per month
Founded in 2001, MailGuard has seen demand for its services increase as businesses seek secure, service-oriented and easy-to-manage solutions for their email networks. The company has experienced consistent year-over-year revenue growth since its inception.
"MailGuard focuses on three core tenets - service delivery, security and simplicity," said Johnson. "Given tight IT budgets, increased concerns around email security and pressures to make past IT investments deliver on promised ROI, we are confident that companies will continue to be drawn to our outsourced email solutions to secure message networks against spam and virus attacks, as well as enforce policies and route messages."
MailGuard launched SafeGuard®, its outsourced business email archival solution, in March and today has 50 customers using the service.
